Remploy - Swansea - 12th Nov, 2007

Sian James MP pledged to continue to work on behalf of her constituents who work at the Fforestfach Shared Service Centre, that is threatened with closure.
Sian James MP said:-"I recently visited the service centre in Swansea in support of my constituents who work at the facility.
"I have made consistent representations to the Government against the closure of the business centre and relocation of posts to Leeds. I believe this raises questions on Remploy's commitment to Wales.
"The Government has informed me that Ministers will have to agree to Remploy's new recommendations.
"I am writing to the Secretary of State again today to urge him to maintain operations at the center. I am also meeting him to discuss my concerns about maintaining the service centre's work in Swansea and Wales."
