Train Timetable Consultations - 6th Jul, 2007

Sian James has asked the Government to ensure that rail timetable consultations are meaningful.
Sian James MP said:-"It is important that representations made to train timetable consultations are more responsive to people's needs and aspirations.
Mrs James raised these points with Wales Office Ministers at Question time on Wednesday 4th July.
Mrs James added:-
"Feedback and responsiveness are the key words that consultations are all about. I believe that comments should be published.
"I have taken up these concerns with the Minister for Railways, asking him to ensure that timetable consultations are released into the public domain, so that people can understand the reasoning behind the timetable decisions, and understand why recommendations are accepted or rejected.
"I would urge train companies to be more responsive to passengers needs."
