Train Timetable Consultation

Sian James and other MPs have received advanced notice of timetable changes to South Wales services.

Sian James MP said:-

"The December 2007 timetable consultation will shortly begin on services between South Wales and Paddington. I understand that the company will not restore the 1515 London Paddington – Swansea service. This is very disappointing news.

"It is also company’s intention that every train from and to South Wales makes an additional stop at Didcot Parkway. This may have serious implications for Arriva Trains Wales timetable, particularly connections.

"I have already made firm representations to the company, Tom Harris MP, Minister for the Railways and the Secretary of State for Wales.

"I have asked the Secretary of State to join me to make firm representations to the company about these changes."
