Sian Visits Admiral in SA1 - 27th Apr, 2007

Admiral Group played host to Swansea East MP Sian James, who visited the site after the recent completion of Phase 2 of the Admiral Group House, located in the SA1 development.

Mrs. James toured the building and took time to have lunch with the staff, discussing various topics including transport links in the city.

Sian James MP, said, “I was delighted to visit Admiral in SA1 to view their new working environment recently and meet the staff. It was clear to me that the staff are enthusiastic about working for the company and are a highly motivated team. Admiral is a very successful business and a key employer in Swansea East. The company’s investment in the SA1 development is a vote of confidence in our city and will help boost the local economy further. ”

Nigel Miller, who works for Admiral’s Diamond brand in Sales, said: “Sian was interested in improving the transport links in the city, making travelling to work and around the city by public transport more accessible and reliable.

“I enjoyed the visit - Sian was very enthusiastic about Admiral and was impressed with the people she met as well as the site itself,” added Nigel.

Beverley Thomas, of the Swansea Claims Department agreed. “I did enjoy the visit and I thought Sian was really friendly and down to earth. Not what I expected from a politician at all.

“I liked the way she was interested in what we were saying and we spent a lot of time talking about the SA1 development and travel and parking issues. She explained the way the parking charges are calculated and about the different travel culture in London.”
